- Last night, Jul. 10, more than 24 artists came together for a concert to raise awareness about gun violence and benefit those affected by the Franklin Covenant School Shooting. The event that took place at The Basement East was organized by 16-year-old musician Grace Bowers, with proceeds benefiting the Covenant Heals fund and the MusiCares nonprofit. - A Franklin soccer coach, Camilo Hurtado Campos, has been accused of drugging and raping children after after video footage was discovered on the manβs phone showing the attacks. Campos reportedly left his cell phone at a Marco's Pizza location and, upon searching the phone to find a way to contact its owner, employees allegedly found dozens of "disturbing" videos. Franklin police are now working to identify the children who were drugged and raped by the coach, and Campos has so far been charged with rape of a child and sexual exploitation of a minor. - Last night, The Nashville Scene's Burger Week kicked off and will continue through this Sunday, Jul. 16. Throughout the week, 60 participating Middle Tennessee restaurants are offering $7 specials. - On Tuesday, Jul. 25, Franklin Tomorrow will host a "Breakfast with the Mayors" event with Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson and Franklin Mayor Dr. Ken Moore.
