- The Williamson County Schools Board of Education has passed a series of resolutions meant to show their support of teachers during a meeting on Monday night. The board also called on state legislators to review state requirements. The actions were in direct response to a survey that district teachers took. According to the teachers, about 35-45 percent of educators do not feel valued by the community or the central office. (williamsonherald.com)
- Single-day passes go on sale today (Aug. 17) for the 2022 Pilgrimage Festival. In addition to music, the festival features historic music cities sharing their stories at the Americana Music Triangle Experience, local craftsmen selling their wares, a food truck park with 16 of the areaβs best culinary offerings on wheels, and more. The popular event is scheduled for Sep. 24 through Sep. 25 at Harlinsdale Farm. There is a limited supply of single-day passes, click here to get your tickets. (Williamson Source)
- The Franklin Police Department welcomed home a deployed officer on Monday. The department retired its blue star service flag that was flown when Officer Richard Lutz deployed in September of 2021. The flag is flown to honor department officers while deployed overseas. (williamsonherald.com)
