- The Franklin Police Department has arrested 21-year-old Julius Waters. The department had been searching for Waters since he allegedly assaulted a woman at her Franklin home during Labor Day weekend. According to the department, the victim and Waters knew each other. He has been booked into the Williamson County Jail on various felony charges. (Fox 17)
- The Franklin Light Opera Company will be opening its new season on Friday, Sep. 9. The opening weekend will feature The Best of Gilbert & Sullivan. The performances will be held at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased by clicking this link. (Broadway World)
- The Franklin Art Scene returned to Main Street on Friday night despite heavy rains. The popular art crawl is on the first Friday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in downtown Franklin.
