  1. In preparation for New Year celebrations this weekend, the Franklin Fire Department issued a reminder to city residents that the city prohibits the use and sale of consumer fireworks. The ban includes sparklers and sky lanterns. (Williamson Source)
  2. A Franklin mother and her child who were left stranded over the holidays by Southwest Airlines flight cancelations were helped by a woman at the Nashville airport. The mother said the woman's name is Katherine and that she would love to reconnect to thank her for her help in the late nights and early mornings at the airport. (WBKO)
  3. The Williamson County Fair was recognized for several areas of excellence by an international group in the industry. The International Association of Fairs and Expositions 2022 Virtual Awards Show awarded the fair with several first place awards as well as second and third place awards in other categories.
