🌱 Compadres Mexican Grocery Store Fire + Officer Of The Year Award

Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:

1. A Monday night fire caused significant damage to Franklin's Los Compadres Mexican grocery store and restaurant. The fire occurred on W. Main St. at 11:53 p.m. Initial estimates indicate that the damage is more than $250,000. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. 2. Franklin's annual Wine Down Main Street event will be downtown on Saturday, Nov. 5. The wine-tasting event will be from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The beer and spirits will be provided by Lipman Brothers with food supplied by local restaurants. Funds raised through the event will support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. (williamsonherald.com)
3. Franklin Police Department's Sergeant Mike Stephens has been named "Officer of the Year." The honor was bestowed for Stephens' efforts in training his fellow officers in how to safely and effectively respond to mental health calls. He was presented the award at the annual Crisis Intervention Team conference in Nashville late last month. (williamsonherald.com)
