Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:

  1. The Williamson County Fair has officially begun. "9 Days of Fun" kicked off on Friday at the Williamson County AgExpo Park in Franklin. Guests are experiencing educational exhibits, exciting fair rides, interesting attractions, and local food. This year's fair theme is "An All-American Fair." Click the following link for photos.   2. A construction worker fell down a 30-foot concrete shaft on Monday morning. The accident occurred in the 4600 block of Columbia Lane in Thompson's Station. The Franklin Fire Department responded to the technical incident. The injured construction worker was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is in critical condition. The incident is being investigated. (WKRN News 2)
  3. Franklin residents must obtain a REAL ID license before May 3, 2023. There is a $28 standard fee attached to obtaining a REAL ID. Residents can obtain a REAL ID at the Franklin Driver Services Center on Carothers Parkway. Click here to view the list of required documents. (Williamson Herald)
