  1. February is American Heart Month, and the Franklin Fire Department is honoring it with a program that could save lives. The fire department will be offering four, free, non-certification CPR classes at the Franklin City Training Hall Room. The classes will be held on Feb. 4, 11, 18, and 25. Classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run until noon. (Press Release Desk)
  2. A Franklin man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing. The incident occurred on Tuesday night just after 9:00 p.m. Police were called to a parking at at the 1300 block of West Main Street after reports of a stabbing came in. Michael Fleming, 35, was arrested and charged with the stabbing; the victim is expected to recover. (WKRN News 2)
  3. Realty company H.G. Hill is proposing a land swap with the Franklin city government. The swap would include roughly 5.77 acres of property on Columbia Avenue. This would be exchanged for the site of the current location of the Franklin City Music Hall on Third Avenue South. Supporters of the swap say the move could help taxpayers save money.
