- A Franklin historian and author will be the guest speaker at the kickoff event for the 2023 Franklin Civil War Round Table. The event is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m. at Carnton’s Fleming Centerand is open to the public. (Williamson Herald)
- Saturday will be the last day you can visit Arnold’s Country Kitchen in nearby Nashville. The restaurant announced last week that it will be closing its doors after more than 40 years. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- Tennessee lawmakers filed new bills for discussion in preparation for the next session of the General Assembly. The list of new bills includes a bill that requires the processing of sexual assault evidence kits within 30 days and a bill to create a revolving loan fund for some small businesses. (WKRN)
