  1. Due to the incoming inclement weather, Franklin Transit is not operating today (Dec. 23). With forecasted ice and severely cold temperatures, the weather this weekend could cause significant problems for public transit. Officials say the decision was made in large part to discourage people from braving the dangerous weather. There have been no updates (as of Thursday evening) when service will be resumed. 2. Are you looking for services on Christmas Eve? Franklin has a large number of churches offering special services on Dec. 24. Fourteen churches in the area are prepared to welcome worshippers the day before Christmas. Many locations will be streaming services as well. (Williamson Source)
  3. Williamson County Fire Rescue put out a chimney fire late Wednesday night. The fire occurred at a residence in the Stonebridge Park subdivision. Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to the rest of the house. No injuries have been reported as of Thursday evening. (WSMV 4)
