- The Franklin Special School District will be offering free seasonal flu vaccines. As a convenience for the district's families, students will be offered the free vaccines between Oct. 3 and Oct. 6. The district will be sending students home with consent forms and information packets this week. (Press Release Desk)
- The Franklin Fire Department responded to a structure fire at The Hearth at Franklin residential care facility on Monday morning at 3:15 a.m. A passerby reported the fire and the department quickly extinguished it. The department reports damage was mostly contained to the outside of the building, but the inside experienced some smoke damage. The department is actively investigating the incident's cause. - Franklin's Coffee & Coconuts location will be converted to Honest Coffee Roasters. The conversion will occur at 4000 Hughes Crossing due to a change in management. The new coffee shop will operate Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Williamson Source)
