- The Franklin Fire Department is asking the community to participate in its annual Christmas Toy & Clothing Drive. The drive directly benefits more than 300 Williamson County children during the holiday season. To participate, residents can grab a request card from the Franklin fire station's holiday fire hydrant displays. Participants will then purchase the items listed on the card and return the items to the fire station. (williamsonherald.com)
- The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is investigating human remains that were found in a local wooded area on Saturday. The remains were discovered by a hunter who was tracking deer through the woods near Clovercroft Road. The department is working with forensic experts. Additional remains were found on Monday. (Fox 17)
- The Williamson County Animal Center is hosting "Deck the Howls" this holiday season. Participants will read holiday stories to the shelter pets while enjoying hot cocoa. The event benefits rescue pets by teaching them to relax around human visitors, making the animals more desirable for adopters. Click for registration details. (News Channel 5)
