Man Kicks Cop, Patrol Car Window: Franklin Police

A man under arrest in a domestic incident allegedly kicked a police officer and then busted out a squad car window, Franklin Police say.

FRANKLIN, TN -- A 35-year-old Franklin man is charged with assaulting a police officer and vandalism after he allegedly kicked an officer and then busted out his squad car window.

On January 17, Franklin Police were called to an Oak Meadow Drive home for a domestic disturbance. The investigating officer told Cody Barnes he'd be arrested for domestic assault and then, according to police, Barnes resisted as he was on his way to jail, as he reportedly busted the back window of the patrol car.

In addition to the aforementioned charges, Barnes is charged with domestic assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
