- Metro Nashville Public Schools are looking for volunteers to help with its "Accelerating Scholars" tutoring program. Volunteers will help students in three 30-minute sessions. Applications will be open until Jan. 5. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- The Metro Council heard public opinions on whether or not to move forward with a license plate reader pilot program. The program would run for six months and would allow police to use license plate readers in nearby Nashville. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- A group of Nashville area citizens formed a committee to propose the development of the Music City Children's Museum. The proposed plan includes 80,000 square feet with exhibits for kids of all ages. The group stated that Nashville is the largest city without its own children's museum. (WKRN News 2)
