- Miley Cyrus has sold her Franklin home. The popular singer and actress first purchased the home in 2017 for $5.8 million. She finalized the sale of the home for $14.5 million. Since the home was not listed on the market, there is no record of which changes Cyrus made at the 35-acre property. (rutherfordsource.com)
- Williamson County Schools' Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center is partnering with the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival. The center will be hosting Battle of the Bands during its upcoming pep rally. The Pilgrimage Festival is scheduled for Sept. 24 through Sept. 25. The winner of the Battle of the Bands will be performing at the festival on Sunday at 12:15 p.m. Click the link for the festival's lineup. (Williamson Herald)
- Franklin's Community Health Systems, Inc., has been sued by a former employee of ShorePoint Health Venice Hospital. The employee claims the company violated federal law by not providing public notice of its plan to lay off workers. In accordance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, the company would need to give 60 days' notice before laying off more than 50 employees at a single job site.
