- Gov. Bill Lee announced on Tuesday that In-N-Out Burger plans to build a corporate office in Franklin. The office will be the first of the company's expansion that will be east of Texas and will bring 277 new jobs to the area. (ABC10)
- Project Unite will receive $53 million in state grants to expand rural access to broadband throughout southern Middle Tennessee, including Franklin and the rest of Williamson County. The multi-year project is being spearheaded by United Communications, which will be using the money to install new fiber lines in the region. (WKRN News 2)
- The Franklin Fire Department will be offering free non-certification CPR classes throughout the month of February. The classes will take place every Saturday during the month and run from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Franklin City Hall Training Room. The opportunity is in honor of American Heart Month. Walmart will be offering a variety of free healthcare screenings and affordable immunizations on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. across the nearby Nashville area. Participating locations will offer free glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure screenings as well as the opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID-19, the flu, tetanus, hepatitis, HPV, and more.
