Nashville Trio Nabbed In Cool Springs Shoplifting Sting: Police

Franklin Police arrested three women - all convicted felons - for shoplifting at CoolSprings Galleria.

FRANKLIN, TN -- Three Nashville women - all convicted felons - were arrested for shoplifting in a Franklin Police sting at CoolSprings Galleria Tuesday.

Undercover officers posing as shoppers watched the suspects load merchandise into empty shopping bags, according to police.

During a search of the car, officers said they found 95 pieces of stolen merchandise with a total value of $3,695, along with tools used to defeat anti-theft sensors. Temptress Peebles, 28; Renita McDonald, 42; and Latosha Word, 39, are charged with theft over $2,500, theft under $1,000, and possession of anti-theft defeating tools.

Pebbles is on probation, while McDonald is on parole.

Franklin Police operate a special mobile command post at CoolSprings Galleria during the holiday shopping period as part of "Operation: Not In Our Mall."
