  1. On Tuesday, several local law enforcement agencies joined together to host a National Night Out event. The Williamson County Sheriff's Office, the Nolensville Police Department, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Brentwood Police Department hosted the community event at Nolensville Park. Local residents were encouraged to turn on their front porch lights in a display of unity to promote strong police-community partnerships. (Williamson Source)
  2. The Williamson County Fair begins this weekend. The fair is scheduled from Friday, Aug. 5, through Aug. 13 at the Williamson County Agricultural Center on Long Lane. Parking is free for participants, but outside food and drink are strictly prohibited. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $12 for adults and $7 for children above five years of age.   3. A Williamson County student has been awarded the Tennessee Cattlemen's Association and Tennessee CattleWomen's Association scholarship. Morgan Riley earned one of the five scholarships that were awarded for the 2022-2023 school year. She will be using the funds to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin. (williamsonherald.com)
