  1. Brian Beathard is the new Williamson County Board of Commissioners Chairman. He was appointed on Monday night during the Commission meeting. The final vote was 15 to 8. He is replacing District 5 Commissioner Tommy Little. Matt Williams will now serve as vice chair. (williamsonherald.com)
  2. Williamson County Schools has broken its record for the number of schools recognized as Reward Schools in the Tennessee Department of Education's accountability report. The district now has 29 schools with the designation. The previous record was 28 schools. The designation recognizes a school as one of the state's highest performing schools.   3. Gray Public Relations, based in Franklin, has been recognized for its work on the state's Department of Transportation's Nobody Trashes Tennessee campaign.
