New Franklin Bus Routes Debut Monday

After an 18 month study, Franklin's new bus routes with more stops will launch Monday.

FRANKLIN, TN — As one of the state's fastest growing towns, Franklin officials knew that public transit needed to be a top priority. Franklin is one of the few small cities in Tennessee that offers a bus service and starting Monday, it will be a bit more robust.

New routes with more stops and longer hours launch Monday, the result of an 18-month study. One of the top priorities identified in that study was increased availability of the buses, so routes are now doubled up, running on a half-hour schedule instead of hourly.

Buses will now run from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to p.m. Saturdays. Routes are available from downtown out Natchez Street to Bradford and thence to the Fieldstone Farms Public, from downtown to Cool Springs Galleria and from the Galleria to Williamson Medical Center.
