Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:
- The Williamson County Board of Education is considering a proposal that would adjust the district's grading scale. The proposal would reportedly bring the district's scale in alignment with the state's. The Tennessee State Board of Education adopted a new scale on Jul. 22 that would change a failing grade to a 59. The failing grade before that was a 69. (Williamson Source)
- The Williamson County Schools board is allowing retired teachers to return to the classroom. The policy was presented during Monday's board meeting. The policy would allow a retired teacher to return to the classroom for up to 120 days per year without losing retirement benefits. (Williamson Home Page)
- The Tennessee Department of Health has released its restaurant health scores. The final scores ranged between 93 and 100. Overall, Franklin's restaurants scored very well after follow-up inspections. Click for the full list of restaurants that were inspected last month. (Williamson Source)
