  1. Franklin's newest ice cream shop has opened its doors. Sweethaven held a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Aug. 12 at their new Main Street location. The shop offers customers ice cream, frozen yogurt, gourmet popsicles, and more. There is also a location in Westhaven. (Williamson Source)
  2. The Williamson County Public Library is hosting a 2022 Garden Talk Series: Trees for Tennessee Home Landscapes today between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The series speaker will focus on trees that are well-suited for the Middle Tennessee suburban environment. Tree care basics will also be presented during the series. This is free to the public. (Williamson Source)
  3. Privately insured Franklin residents will not benefit from Congressional insulin-cost relief. The Inflation Reduction Act was passed by the U.S. House on Friday but Tennessee's Senator Marsha Blackburn and Senator Bill Hagerty voted against it. Approximately 13.6 percent of the adult population in Tennessee requires insulin. (News Channel 5)
