Perfume Pilferers Popped Police: FPD

FRANKLIN, TN -- Two men accused of stealing $1,700 in "fine fragrances" from the Cool Springs Macy's tried to fight off the officers arresting them, according to Franklin Police.

Two undercover Franklin officers approached Chayan Fuentes of Bowling Green, Ky., and Jorge Lugo of Madison just after the two allegedly walked out of Macy's with purloined perfume. According to police, the two "created quite a scene" and were "very combative" before the officers, with the help of four anonymous bystanders, were able to subdue them.

Fuentes remains jailed on a $15,000 bond, charged with felony theft and resisting arrest. Lugo remains behind bars on a $20,000 bond, charged with felony theft, resisting arrest, and evading arrest.
