- A pizzeria employee was attacked on the job earlier this week after requesting a woman and a man who was wearing a ski mask to leave the pizzeria. The woman was picking up an order at Roma Pizza down the road in Donelson and lost her temper when asked by the worker to show the confirmation for the order. She left the restaurant and returned five minutes with the man wearing a ski mask and then maced the employee before the two fled in a black Mitsubishi. The victim was treated by emergency responders and given antibiotics for his eyes, and he said is afraid to return to work. (WKRN News 2)
- A school resource officer was recognized as a hero on Monday morning after he administered two doses of Narcan to an unresponsive student that potentially saved his life. At around 8 a.m. that morning when a student was found unresponsive in a car in the high school's parking lot, the official was notified and immediately sprung into action with the school nurse and EMS. Narcan is present in all Williamson County Schools and multiple personnel have gone through professional training in administering the drug for situations just like this. (WKRN News 2)
