- U.S. Senator Ted Cruz joined former Maury County Mayor Andy Ogles in Franklin on Wednesday for a rally. The event featured discussions regarding transgender people, COVID-19, inflation, and immigration. About 1,000 individuals attended the rally. (Patch)
- The Franklin Police Department will be checking the homes of registered sex offenders on Monday night. The checks will confirm their compliance with the law and restrictions specific to child sex offenders. The Tennessee Department of Corrections requires registered sex offenders to remain inside on Halloween night beginning at 6:00 p.m. They are forbidden from decorating their homes, having porch lights on, and attending fall festivals. - A family is searching for the driver involved in a Williamson County hit-and-run incident that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 15. The incident occurred off Old Hillsboro Road in Leipers Fork and resulted in Peter Mulcahy getting hit. Anyone that witnessed the incident or has any information about the driver is asked to contact the THP Emergency dispatch Communications Center (WKRN)
