Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:
- Over the weekend, there was bumper-to-bumper traffic leading to Middle Point Landfill. Earlier this year, the Regional Solid Waste Planning Board voted to reduce disposal at the site to reduce traffic. Currently, 2.23 percent of landfill contributions are from Franklin residents. (WGNSRadio)
- Williamson County has released the full list of county polling locations. Williamson County residents will be able to cast ballots on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are seven polling locations in Franklin. Click for the full list of polling locations. (Williamson County)
- Matthew West will be headlining the 2022 Franklin Christmas Tree Lighting. West is the current ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year. He has headlined the event in the past. The popular holiday event is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m. with the tree lighting scheduled for 7:15 p.m. (City of Franklin)
