Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:

  1. Sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson County will be hosting a delegation from Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany between Oct. 2 and Oct. 9. The area has had a sister city relationship with Bad Soden am Taunus for six years. The formal Sister Cities agreement was signed in 2014 by Franklin Mayor Ken Moore in Bad Soden. The delegation's visit is meant to strengthen the cities' bond of friendship and partnership. (Williamson Source)
  2. A new crosswalk between Page Middle School and Page High School has officially been completed. The crosswalk will ensure that students are safe while crossing busy Arno Road. A significant amount of Franklin area middle school students take classes at the high school. (williamsonherald.com)
  3. Franklin movie lovers won't want to miss the 53rd Nashville Film Festival, which starts today and runs through Oct. 5. Screenings will be held at TPAC, the Belcourt, and Franklin Theater.
