Tennesseans May Get To Play Lotto With Plastic
A bill filed by two Williamson County legislators would remove the cash-only provision from Tennessee's lottery law.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Two Williamson County lawmakers are pushing for the possibility for Tennesseans to play the lottery with plastic.
Under current law, lottery tickets can only be purchased with cash. House Bill 2057/Senate Bill 1996 would allow for tickets to be purchased with money orders, debit cards and prepaid gift cards. Payment with credit cards or checks would still be barred.
The bill passed the pro forma first reading in both chambers this week.
