- According to a CDC map and multiple surveys, Tennessee currently ranks as the number one state in the country for flu cases. Doctors are warning residents a new wave of sickness is on the horizon, as well as the growing threat of a "tripledemic" consisting of the flu, RSV, and COVID-19. Three of the top 10 cities for flu cases in the country are Knoxville, Nashville, and Chattanooga. Experts are concerned these rising numbers could put a strain on hospitals during the winter season. - A new bakery with a focus on French delights has opened in Franklin. Located in the Cheswicke neighborhood, Las Maison Bleue intends to bring the flair and flavors of France directly to Franklin. The bakery will offer pastries and breads baked fresh. Customers living in her neighborhood can even opt for delivery. (williamsonherald.com)
- Purse snatchers in the area are increasing at an "alarming" rate, according to the Franklin Police Department. Officials are warning shoppers during the holiday season to be aware and take measures to clip their bags to their shopping carts if using one. If your bag is on you, police say you should have it zipped, over your shoulder, and hanging in front of you so you are aware of what is happening. (NewsChannel5)
