Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:

1. A Williamson County Fire Rescue responded to a home fire on Thanksgiving. The fire occurred in The Grove. According to the department, the fire traveled from the chimney into the second-floor attic. The family who resided in the home has been displaced and neighbors are supporting them. (Fox 17)
2. Various merchants in downtown Franklin are offering discounts to celebrate Shop Small Saturday. The event was founded by American Express in 2010 as an effort to bring attention to small businesses and intimate shopping experiences. The Downtown Franklin Association is encouraging shoppers to participate. There will be free transportation with the Hop & Shop Trolley throughout the shopping event. 3. The Williamson Medical Center and Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee (BJIT) will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Nov. 29. The blood drive will be with Blood Assurance from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Walk-ins will be accepted but appointments are encouraged. The blood drive will be held in the parking lot of BJIT on the center's main campus in Franklin. (Williamson Source)
