THP Details Deadly I-65 Wreck That Killed Mom, 2 Kids

A 31-year-old woman and her two young children were killed in an October 23 wreck on I-65 at the 840 interchange.

FRANKLIN, TN — The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a woman who was killed along with her two young children in a crash last week lost control of her car and overcorrected on the ramp from Interstate 65 to Interstate 840.

The THP released the results of its investigation of the Oct. 23 wreck that killed Lauren Jackson, 31, and her two children: 1-year-old Alex and 3-year-old Alexanna.

The THP's report says Jackson, driving a Nissan Sentra, was exiting I-65 to I-840 when she lost control on the ramp, ran off the side, overcorrected and then hit a barrier on the left side of the ramp, causing her car to flip and then catch fire.
