  1. The parents of a transgender third-grader have filed a federal lawsuit against the Williamson County Board of Education and the Tennessee Department of Education. The lawsuit is regarding a state law that prohibits transgender students, employees, and teachers from accessing sex-segregated facilities conflicting with their birth genders such as bathrooms. The lawsuit was filed in the District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. (WSVN.com)
  2. The family of late country singer Naomi Judd was granted a court order in Williamson County that seals Judd's death records from the public record. The court order restricts the Williamson County Sherriff's Office from releasing any material that would cause the family emotional distress, pain, or mental anguish. (American Songwriter)
  3. Franklin's city offices will be closed on Sept. 5. The closures are in remembrance of Labor Day. The city will resume services on Sept. 6. If your regular trash collection day is Sept. 5, just set your trash out on Tuesday, Sept. 6. There will be a one-day delay on trash collection for the rest of the week. (City of Franklin)
