  1. Franklin's Board of Mayor and Aldermen along with the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission are considering a proposal that would revise Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club. The development plan would build a 7,615-square-foot addition to the Legends clubhouse and expand the Team Clubhouse. The golf club is widely considered one of the best in the state. The plan will be voted on in October. (williamsonherald.com)
  2. Williamson County's visitor spending has resulted in $1.04 billion in direct economic impact for the community during 2021. The data was released through U.S. Travel Association and Tourism Economics. The 2021 numbers were on par with 2018 (pre-pandemic) levels. The county welcomed 1.73 million visitors in 2021 - a significant increase from the year before. (Williamson Source)
  3. Bert Chalfant, Williamson County's longest-serving county commissioner, died on Aug. 24. He was first elected to the county commission in 1986 and built a long legacy of public service over the next 32 years. His wife of 40 years, Betty Jane Brindley Chalfant, has praised his unwavering drive for his community. (Tennessean)
