Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- According to recent data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Williamson County still has the lowest unemployment rate in Tennessee. The county's rate is currently 2.4 percent. Despite the low rate, the county did see a 0.3 percent increase during Oct. A majority of Tennessee's counties had a rate below five percent. (Chattanoogan)
- The City of Franklin will be hosting a Virtual Neighborhood Meeting regarding a proposed Development Plan and Rezoning for 101 Cool Springs Boulevard. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to provide residents with project details and to allow engagement with the project applicant. Participants are asked to register for the meeting in advance at this link. (City of Franklin)
- Williamson County reports that all county government offices will temporarily lose internet access on Thursday, Dec. 1. The outage will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The outage will enable the county to upgrade its internet speeds moving forward. (Williamson County)
