Bellaire High School Student Wins Mayor's Art Scholarship
Asia Youngs-Bailey, a photographer, has exhibited at museums and shows.

BELLAIRE, TX — Asia Youngs-Bailey, a student at Bellaire High School, has a way with a camera. Her images have been featured in shows and exhibits, including Eye on Houston: High School Documentary Photography — see it through May 7 at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston — and her art has won a number of awards. Now she's the recipient of a Mayor's Art Scholarship.
The scholarships were bestowed on Wednesday, and Houston's mayor, Sylvester Turner, presided over the ceremonies.
The Mayor’s Art Scholarship is an annual competition that fosters collaboration among Houston-area high school fine arts departments and recognizes excellence in student art.
