Open House: Say Farewell To The Bellaire Police and Municipal Courts Building

The current facility, which opened in 1974, will be razed to make way for a new one, set to open in 2018.

BELLAIRE, TX — All good things must come to an end, and that goes for the Bellaire Police and Municipal Courts building, which opened its doors in 1974. It will close in July, and make way for a new building for the police department and courts.

To commemorate the building's service, and that of its employees, Bellaire is hosting an open house on Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The building will be demolished, and the new facility is scheduled to open in 2018.

At the open house, staff will answer questions about the building and its history and information concerning the relocation of police and court operations during construction of the new building will be available. Refreshments will be served beginning at 11:00 am.
