• HISD settles lawsuit with Bellaire HS parents who sued over students' preferred pronoun use (click2houston.com) — Bellaire High School is at the center of a newly settled lawsuit after parents said staff used a male name and pronouns for their daughter against their wishes, prompting policy changes in how she’s addressed. The case, backed by Alliance Defending Freedom, also drew attention from Gov. Greg Abbott, who called for an investigation into Bellaire HS and possible statewide limits on similar practices.
