Bellaire Recycling Event Set For Saturday, May 13

Bring your paper, car batteries, scrap metal, bicycles, and old computers to 7008 South Rice Avenue

BELLAIRE, TX — It's going to last for four hours only, but during that time the City of Bellaire will make it easy for you to get rid of a lot of junk and feel good about doing it. Bellaire Recycles takes place on Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 7008 South Rice Ave., so start collecting your recyclables now.

Sponsored by the Bellaire Environmental and Sustainability Board, the event is a one-stop destination for the recycling of everything from copy machines, batteries, stereo equipment, televisions, water heaters, and cell phones, to name but a few items.

For you hoarders of confidential documents, there will also be a paper shredder on hand, but you need to know that there is a five-box per-participant limit — and make sure it's copier paper and letters only; recycle your magazines and newspapers as you normally do.
