5 Happy Hours to Catch in Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE, TX- Celebrating cocktail culture and catalytic of workplace bonding, Happy Hour is a time to relax, unwind and—most importantly—be happy. The Clear Lake Patch has carefully curated a list of locations where readers in the area can find high times with low-cost libations.

  • Tommy's Restaurant and Oyster Bar, family-owned and operated for 27 years, is lauded for its Happy Hour and bar menu as well as its $8 (per dozen) oysters on Tuesdays and Fridays. Happy Hour is Monday through Saturday from 4-6:30 p.m.

  • Sherlock's Baker St. Pub draws crowds with live music, games of pool and a daily Happy Hour from 3-9 p.m., during which well drinks are $3; Jack Daniels, Deep Eddy Flavors, Tito's, Beefeater and Jameson are available for $5.75; Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra and Shiner ranges from $2.85 to $3.15 for pints and $3.90 to $4.70 for bigger beers; and house wines are $3.75 per pour.

  • The Davenport Lounge is known for its diverse drink selection and its atmosphere. The bar-lounge boasts a menu of specialty drinks prepared with the highest quality of scotch or vodka, inviting patrons to let loose with one of the establishment's award-winning martinis. Martini Monday features $4 martinis from 5-8 p.m. and $5 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

  • The Rouxpour's Happy Hour, available Monday through Friday from 3-7 p.m., features oysters on the half-shell for $4.50 per half-dozen or $8.50 per dozen.   • J. Henry's Draught House & Kitchen maintains an extensive craft beer draft wall with more than 50 beers on tap. Family-owned, the establishment prides itself as a place for craft beer lovers and novices, foodies and families. J. Henry's also features reusable 64-ounce and 32-ounce growlers, containers that can be used by patrons to take home their favorite brew, amber-colored so as to protect from excess light and UV, which can break down beer's integrity.
