Students and staff were allowed back in the school after law enforcement officials conducted a sweep of the campus.

LA MARQUE, TX — Students and staff La Marque High School were forced to evacuate Monday morning after the school district received a bomb threat.

Administrators at La Marque High School posted an alert on their school webpage advising parents that a threat had been made and to stay away until the all-clear signal is given.

"La Marque High School has received a bomb threat. All threats are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. Administrators are well-trained on district-level emergency management, incident command, and National Incident Management procedures, which go into effect immediately upon notification of a threat. Parents should not go to the school now as all students and staff have been evacuated. Due to student safety, parents cannot pick up students from the evacuation site. We will let parents know when it's safe for the students to return to school," the statement read.
