This October, The Bridge Over Troubled Waters is asking community members of all ages to join the Bridge in honoring Domestic Violence Awareness Month and help us break the silence. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), 40% of Texas women and 35% of Texas men experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Domestic violence also affects teens at staggering rates, 1 in 3 teens while in high school experience abuse from a dating partner.
