On the March 3rd Education Connections Webinar, Education Division Chair, Dr. Peter Wuenschel held a virtual thirty-minute conversation with special guest Monica Giuffre, long-time Principal of Falcon Pass Elementary, a CCISD Leader In Me school, and Dan Newman, CEO of Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. The two shared how CCISD continues to blend leadership development and goal setting into everyday academics and why it is important for our students and your future employees. The ‘Leader In Me’ program is an evidence-based, comprehensive model that builds leadership and life skills in students, creates a high-trust school culture, and lays the foundation for sustained academic achievement. Partners like Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, the Clear Creek Education Foundation and several of our cities and Rotary Clubs are teaming with the District to fund the program’s implementation in CCISD schools because of its clear benefits to today’s students and tomorrow’s citizens and workforce.
