Community: HCSO Child Abuse Investigators Make An Arrest In Sexual Assault Of Child.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Unit investigators have arrested and charged a 38 year old man for the aggravated sexual assault of a juvenile girl in the Channelview area of east Harris County.Investigators said that Cecil De Wayne Mc Afee is the man that forced a 16 year old female into his vehicle after seeing her walking down a sidewalk in a neighborhood around 4:30am on October 15, 2016.Mc Afee posed as a police officer in order to lure the girl into his vehicle , after telling her she was in violation of the county curfew ordinance.

Mc Afee never displayed any police credentials to the victim. Child Abuse investigators received several tips on Mc Afee, and were able to have him positively identified by the victim and witnesses, after surveillance video and photos of a vehicle similar to McAfee’s were released to the public. He is charged with impersonating a peace officer and aggravated sexual assault of a child, and is being held on an $120,000 bond.This is another fine example of the community and Harris County Sheriff's Office personnel working together to make an arrest and charging a suspect.For full details, view this message on the web.
