Dead Dolphin Found In Seabrook May Be Victim Of ITC Fire
A dolphin that washed ashore in Seabrook last weekend is being examined by wildlife officials to determine how it died.

SEABROOK, TX — A dead dolphin that washed ashore in Seabrook last weekend is being examined by wildlife officials. The bloated carcass washed ashore nearly two weeks after a fire that destroyed 9 storage tanks at the ITC facility in Deer Park also leaked chemicals into the Houston Ship Channel.
How, officials from the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network want to know if those chemicals killed the dolphin.
So far, ITC officials say two turtles, eight birds and nine fish have been confirmed dead as a result of the incident.

On March 17, fire erupted at the ITC facility in Deer Park, which burned for nearly a week and sent a plume of black smoke over the Houston area.
A day after the fire was extinguished, a dike wall was breached, spilling chemicals into the ship channel.
