Dickinson Man Who Attacked Girl, 16, Charged With Kidnapping

Bryan Ford, who is accused of dragging a young girl into a wooded area, is in the Galveston County Jail with bond set at $100,000.

DICKINSON, TX — A 24-year-old man who is accused of attacking a teenage girl and dragging her into a wooded area at a Dickinson park is facing felony charges. Bryan Ford is in the Galveston County Jail with bond set at $100,000.

Ford is charged with aggravated kidnapping which is a first-degree felony, according to police.

Officers were called Paul Hopkins Park, located at 1100 E FM 517 Road at about 12:50 a.m. on Dec, 26 for an assault report.

Officers spoke to a 16-year-old girl who claimed a man had assaulted her in the park. She told police that when she tried to call 911 he hit her and dragged her through a trail at Paul Hopkins Park. The man then fled the area on foot, she told police.

Dickinson police officers, and a K9 officer from the Texas City Police Department searched the area for the suspect, and was found about 100 yards from the park.

Police identified the suspect as Bryan Ford.

Ford was arrested and is in the Galveston County jail.
