Dimitrios Pagourtzis, Accused Santa Fe Shooter, Appears In Court
Dimitrios Pagourtzis is in the Galveston County Jail and is accused of killing 10 people in a shooting at Santa Fe High School last year.

GALVESTON, TX — Dimitrios Pagourtzis, the man accused of killing 10 classmates and teachers at Santa Fe High School in May 2018, appeared in court Monday via teleconference to discuss his upcoming trial.
Earlier this month, defense attorney's for Pagourtzis asked that his trial, which is set for later this year, be moved out of Galveston County.
Attorney Nicholas Poehl filed a motion on Jan. 8 asking for a change of venue, citing pretrial publicity had tainted the potential jury pool and would prevent his client from receiving a fair trial in Galveston County.
