Friendswood Preschoolers Conduct Candy Experiments
Pint-Sized Scientists Turn Classroom into Lab
Preschoolers at The Goddard School located in Friendswood recently took a unique, and delicious, approach to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) learning. Set to the theme of "Candy Land," The Goddard School's Science Fair Open House featured a variety of projects and experiments that included:
- Creating chocolate slime
- Discovering whether or not a certain brand of candy bar will sink or float
- Balancing M&Ms
- Dissolving Skittles
The Goddard School's Science Fair Open House helps students build a foundation and passion for STEAM learning while developing key 21st century skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking.
The Goddard School organizes many events throughout the year that help to build connections and relationships within their schools and community.
