League City 7th Grader Detained After Making Threat: Police
League City Intermediate School was placed in a lockdown status Wednesday morning after a student made a threat, police said

LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS -- A seventh-grader at League City Intermediate School was taken into custody after he made a threat at the school Wednesday, police said. Officials in Clear Creek Independent School District said the school went into lock-down procedure for nearly 30 minutes while the incident was investigated.
The child allegedly made the threat in class. Officials have not said what the nature of the threat was, but did say that it did not involve a weapon on campus.
Classes resumed at the school about noon.

The child was taken to the juvenile detention facility in Galveston County and could be charged with making a terroristic threat.
