Dad Charged In Brutal Murder Of 3 Children, Police Say
Juniad Hashim Mehmood, 27, who is accused of stabbing 3 children, and shooting his girlfriend, surrendered to police on Thursday.
TEXAS CITY, TX — A Texas City man is in the Galveston County Jail after he allegedly confessed to killing three children Thursday evening.
Police said Juniad Hashim Mehmood, 27, turned himself in to police after confessing to the brutal murders of three children, one of them his infant daughter.
He has been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault, and is being help without bond.

Police were called a little after 6 p.m. to the Pointe Ann Apartments, located at 1225 10th Street North in Texas City, where they found the bodies of three children, ages 5, 2, and an infant, all stabbed to death, and the children’s mother badly beaten.
Police said the children’s mother had also been shot in the face with a pellet gun, and was hiding when police entered her apartment.

The woman, who neighbors said is Mehmood's girlfriend, was taken to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and is being treated for her wounds. She is currently listed in stable condition, police said.
Mehmood called police shortly after 10 p.m., and told them he wanted to turn himself in and that he would be at the apartment complex where the shooting happened.
When police arrived, they found Mehmood waiting for them in the parking lot, and he was arrested without incident.
Police are still trying to determine what led to the murders.
