Pearland School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Pearland is August 21. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Pearland Independent School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/15: Early Release, End of Second Grading Period
• 12/18 - 12/29: No School (Christmas)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year’s)
• 1/2: No School for Students (Workday)
• 1/3: No School for Students (Staff Development)
• 1/4: Start of Third Grading Period
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr.)

February

• 2/19: No School for Students (Staff Development)

March

• 3/9: End of Third Grading Period
• 3/12 - 3/16: No School (Spring Break)
• 3/19: Start of Fourth Grading Period
• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/31: Last Day of School, Early Release

June

• 6/1: Workday
