Texas City ISD Ditches Dress Code for La Marque Schools
The Texas City ISD board has voted to remove the standardized dress code for former La Marque ISD campuses.

TEXAS CITY, TX — The Texas City ISD board recently decided to make standardized dress, e.g. school uniforms, optional at some former La Marque ISD campuses.
The standardized dress code had been in place in La Marque for 20 years and was supported by parents in the former district, which is why the TCISD board initially didn't want to change the dress code.
A few months later, the board realized that it would be a major pain to have two different dress codes for the district's 13 active, and one under construction, schools.
